It's About Time!

Once again I've re-dedicated myself to start blogging again! Since this blog takes the place of my journal, it's kinda important!

We're doing good! Nothing too exciting has happened recently! We seem to stay so stinking busy!

TJ is still in the bishopric. He was released, and then re-called when we got a new bishop! Even though he stays pretty busy, he loves it! He has been hunting since October, and has yet to catch anything! He's starting to get desparate! He has taken two of his best buddies out, and they've both gotten great deers! TJ runs a terrific guide service! He stays busy at work too. He's really improved on his skills, and his patients really love him! He had one lady tell him that he restored her faith in dentists! What a catch!

I'm staying busy as Primary President! I just really love it! There are such great kids in our ward, and I kinda think of it as my way to have kids without really having a baby! Speaking of that, we are progressing still! We have been going to a fertility specialist since June, and he has gotten me to ovulate-which is kinda a BIG deal! He thinks this cycle might be it for us!! We're keeping our fingers crossed! I'm still working 3 days a week. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday! I'm kinda spoiled to only have to work 3 days, but I stay so busy I wonder how I ever had time to work more than that!

We had a great Fall! I got to go home to Idaho in August, we went for a week in October, and for a week at Thanksgiving! We've been so blessed to get to see our families so much this year! We sure do wish we lived closer though! We stayed in Oklahoma for Christmas this year! It was our first ever Christmas at our house! TJ's parents came to spend the week with us. Unfortunetly, TJ, his mom, and his dad ALL got sick!!! Right now I am the only one well in my house! Thank heavens for the flu shot and Lysol!

I can't wait for January to come! I love January because it is a time to start over! I like to make goals, and better myself! I really feel like 2011 will be OUR year! We have so many things to accomplish and attain! I can't wait to get started!

It seems like we've been so busy lately! Sometimes I wonder what I would get done if I weren't so busy! There are a lot of important things in life that I don't feel like I spend enough time doing because I'm too busy with the unimportant things. For example---TJ thinks we watch too much TV. At first I thought he was nuts, but he might be more right than I want to admit! It seems like we work so hard during the day, that after dinner we don't want to do anything! So, we watch TV. Not because we're hooked on what is actually going on on the screen, but because we're just too worn out to do anything else. Anyways, if we just turn off the TV and go for a walk, read our scriptures, do SOMETHING, then I think I might not feel so worn out. What's the solution?? How do we take that first step of changing our habits??? I don't know...

I'm not used to living in a town where all my friends move away. I lived in the same place my whole life growing up, and there are many friends I have that I have had since elementary school. TJ grew up moving around, so he's used to making friends and then moving away! I'm not. We have such a nice ward with just super great people in it, but they are all in the Air Force. Now they just come and go. It's kinda hard for me to make close friends because I don't want to because I know they are just going to move away. I guess you just be friends for awhile. I don't know...

I still don't know why some girls have babies, and some don't. It kills me to hear parents talk about how bugged they are by their kids! I had a patient at work tell me she dreads summer vacation because she didn't know how she was going to handle her kids being at home. Now, I can appreciate the challenges of parenthood, and I realize it isn't all peaches and cream! But, SERIOUSLY! Why have kids if you don't enjoy spending time with them. Why do they get babies and I don't??? I don't know...

Ruger seems to be depressed lately. We had to get after him for laying (digging) in our freshly planted veggie/flower garden, and since then he seems depressed. He just lays under our porch stairs. Could he really be that sensitive??? Just stop digging! I don't know...

When I was in hygiene school, I really loved cleaning teeth! I still get tickled when I have a thick bridge of calculus to blast off with my ultrasonic, but that's where the excitement ends!! I'm tired of telling people they need to floss every day or someday their teeth will probably fall out of their head! I don't even floss every day, does that mean I'll loose my teeth? And how about the patient that comes in to say, "I get food caught right here between these two teeth (as they point to the spot)." They go on to say, "so I didn't brush or floss after lunch just so you could see where it's getting caught." Really, I believe you! The last thing I want to do is clean your turkey sandwich out! It makes my back hurt, and my hand has been going numb. Which hurts!!! How about the breath that made me gag the other day! I had to put Vicks vapor rub up my nose to finish the prophy. And that's not the end of it...why are dental offices notorious for drama??!! You get a bunch of girls together in close quarters for 8 hrs. a day, and the feathers fly! I don't think I've ever worked in an office with as much drama as the one we're in right now. Some days I think the only reason I was led to do hygiene is just because Heavenly Father knew I would marry TJ, and someday we would own our own practice. Granted all this experience will come in very handy when we reach that point! Until then, what is a girl to do?? I don't know...

Today I found peace in getting my toes rubbed and painted! It's only been in the past year that I refuse to cut/paint my own toenails, this was when I discovered what a luxury pedis are! Does this sound snobby?? I don't know...

What I DO know is that I am very blessed! I have a super great husband loves me so much! We also have wonderful families that may be thousands of miles away, but love us and we love them. TJ and I have great educations that we wouldn't trade for anything. We have a wonderful little house where the spirit dwells and where we can come home and feel at peace! Most importantly, I'm blessed to know the truth! The Lord loves me! This is what I DO know!

Where did April go?

Is it really the middle of May??? We've been so busy lately! April just flew by! We had LOTS of company during the month of April. Since it was turkey season, TJ had lots of friends and his dad visit to catch their turkeys! It was a successful season, but I'm glad it's over!
I got to go home and visit for a week! That's always so much fun! We had a surprise birthday party for my grandma's birthday! Was she ever surprised! I hung out with my super sweet niece!! She is cuter everytime I see her!
We bough a new car!!!!!!! After my bug died last Fall, I've been driving TJ's old Saturn. I was blessed to have a car that got me where I needed to go, but was I ever glad to get a car with power steering and cruise control!! We really planned, and saved, and sacrificed to get the car we wanted, so to actually get to buy it felt really good! Yeah for us!!
STILL trying to get prego! I actually ovulated on my own a couple weeks ago! It was sooooooooo painful that I ended up in the ER because we thought I had an apendicitis! Luckily, it was just and egg! (Seriously, kinda embarrasing!) We did insemination a couple days later, now we're just waiting! We should find out soon! It doesn't get any easier!
It seems like TJ has been keeping us busy with church stuff lately! He's over the YM/YW, so we get to be involved in all sorts of activities! Last weekend we had a planting party to plant the flowers for Mother's Day, combined with a bonfire for the scouts!! Lots of fun!
Our office in Altus is getting a makeover, so we've been working only out of our Mangum office! It's been VERY cramped and caotic!! We just found out our Altus office, which was supposed to be done in the next couple weeks, won't be done until July! :( I've only been working 3 days a week, but some weeks it seems like a lot more!! Hopefully we'll get to split up REALLY soon!!
TJ's THIRTIETH birthday is coming up, and hopefully I can put together something VERY fun and surpise him!!! I'm open for any suggestions!
That seems to sum up what's been going on around here!

Easter, Yard Work, and Turkeys!

We have just been going and going lately! I don't even know where to start!

First of all, we had a super great Easter! It was terrific having conference Easter weekend! I procrasinated getting my Easter ham, and we ended up with a dumb pre-cooked ham! But, what can you do. It was a good day nonetheless.

The weather here lately has been just BEAUTIFUL! On Saturday we were in the 80's! So, we started on our yard work. I'm turing the East side of my flower bed into my veggie garden. Since turkey season starts tomorrow, I know TJ will be preoccupied until the 6th of May, so whatever I do, I have to do on my own. So, we hauled in topsoil and turned it into our sandy "soil" on Saturday. I pulled 2 trees and 3 bushes out of the garden- ALL BY MYSELF! It was quite satisfying! We worked so hard, and got so sunburnt! I could hardly roll myself out of bed on Sunday! It was worth it though! I'm going to work on my soil this week, and plant my plants this weekend!

Tomorrow is the opening day of turkey season. TJ has been preparing for this since he shot his last deer last fall! He's totally booked out all his friends and family for hunts! It's just a hunting craze around our house! It's gotten so bad, that I look for turkeys out in the fields now! I even dreamt about them the other night! Anyways, I'm excited for him!

We went up to see Dr. Goff on Friday. Just a side note---my favorite nurse, Jewell quit. Friday was her last day. I do not like that at all! I've seen her more than I've seen my family these last two years! I'm going to miss her! Anyways, Friday was day 18 of my cycle. The week before I went to Dr. Goff, and I didn't have any good folicles. He wanted to check one more time this month. And, there it was! The most perfect folicle! GOOD size!! What a suprise!!! We just thought this month was out! Anyways, Dr. Goff thought that it might rupture on it's own, but he sent us with another trigger shot just in case. P.S. when we went to fill the rx, the pharmacist said that he and his wife just got prego on their second trigger shot! Anyways, Dr. Goff said there was no way he could wait until Monday (today) to inseminate, so he was willing to meet us at his office on Easter Sunday! He's so nice! But, the lab that cleans the sperm was going to be closed, so there goes that for this month! Anyways, TJ gave me my shot Saturday, and I got a positive ovulation test!

I've had a hard time lately. I really feel kind of empty, and I have a hard time staying positive. I told TJ last week that I really don't feel like I'll ever get prego. Dr. Goff gave us a pep talk! He said he has a good feeling! Let's hope.

Tonight we had dinner with Jim and Barbara. (The DDS we work for) Barbara made a good point that I honestly have never thought about. She said that sometimes when she prays for something to happen and it doesn't, she gets frustrated. But, when it finally does happen she knows that that is the Lord. It's kind of hard to paraphrase what she said, but it dawned on me! Even though right now we want to have a baby so badly, when it finally does happen, we'll know for sure that the Lord had His hand in it! We might now recognize that had we not had this trial. Something to think about.

Well, it's 10 PM. Late for me!

Poor Rugar!

Poor Rugar! He ate some gopher poison sometime during the night or this morning! TJ noticed it when he went to feed him this morning and found the container of poison! He had chewed the lid off and most of the poison was gone.

TJ and I tend to yell at each other when we're scared! It's like an instinct. I was suppose to leave for my Drs. appointment in the city, so I was yelling at him that I wasn't going to be able to go, and how was that going to work with IUI this month, and he was yelling at me to rush Rugar to the vet and leave him, then rush to the city. I was yelling that that wouldn't work, then the car didn't start! Yup, when it rains it pours here!

Anyways, TJ jumped the car and left for work, 1/2 hr. late. I threw Rugar in the truck and went to the vet. I called Dr. Goff's nurse on the way to tell her I wouldn't be there, and she said if I went on Friday (even though it'll be cycle day 11) I should be fine! That made me feel much better!

Rugar was acting just fine! He didn't seem to be affected by the poison at all! Good. Dr. Hanlon was so nice. He rushed us in, gave Rugar a sedative, and something to make him vomit, and rushed him into surgery. They had to flush out his stomach, and give him charcoal to bind the poison. They called me a couple hours later and said everything went good! They didn't get much when they flushed his stomach which means he either didn't ingest as much as we think he did, or he had already vomited it out and we just didn't see it.

Anyways, I got to pick him up this afternoon, and he seems ok. He's SUPER groggy still! He has just been laying in the front room. They said the next 48 hours are critical. We have to watch for any weird signs. Dr. Hanlon is optomistic though! We'll keep our fingers crossed!

A Nice Weekend

This weekend was a quiet, and somewhat uneventful weekend. For some reason last week at work was EXTREMELY tiring! Both TJ and I stayed just super busy with patients! Which is good, but I guess we're just not that used to working so hard. hee, hee!!! No, seriously, we were VERY grateful to be so busy! So, it made the weekend all the more nice.

Friday was super nice, a little windy, but nice! TJ worked on so many little projects outside that we've been meaning to do! He cleaned out our air conditioner to get it working for the HEAT, fixed a potentially deadly loose stone in our walkway, and took the hideous green gates that don't work off the fence posts! YEAH!!!! I finally got my wall painted red, and other blemishes in my painted walls fixed. We assessed all our fruit trees too! We had so many beautiful blossoms on them, but then Saturday came!

Saturday was COLD, and SNOWY!!! Believe it or not! What a great day to stay in! TJ took full advantage of that! He prided himself in not leaving the couch for the majority of the day! Good, he deserved it! I on the other hand, I braved the cold and snow to get my hair done! Seriously, I should have just stayed inside! I had to take our truck to town to get down the roads, and, in some spots, I actually put it in 4-wheel drive! All for a good haircut, it was worth it though! When I got home, TJ watched both Twilight and New Moon with me! He would never admit it to anyone, but he's a sucker for chick flicks! We have these double doors that lead into our pantry/laundry room. These doors have not worked properly since we moved in. The one on the left was always too tight, and we had to slam it shut! The one on the right was too loose, and never really stayed shut! Anyways, TJ has kept saying he was going to fix them, but never got around to it! Well, Saturday he did!!! It's like a dream to open and close them!!! He said it took him all of 2 seconds to do! Isn't that funny how we sometimes put things off that bug us, and really it's no big deal! Anyways, I keep finding reasons to go in that room just to enjoy my doors! All in all, a great day!

Today seemed like a super long Sunday. I had to go to church with TJ at 7 AM for his bishopric meeting because I couldn't take the car anywhere because of the snow! Church was just super busy! We had our Teacher Inservice Meeting during 2nd hour, and I did Sharing Time 3rd hour. TJ had to go to Hobart for a Sacrament Meeting tonight, so I'm just here chilling!

Tomorrow I go to the city to see Dr. Goff. He's going to measure my follicles to see if they are getting ready to ovulate! This month we'll do IUI and hopefully it will work! If not, we will start IVF next month. HOPEFULLY it will work!! We can do IUI just as many times as we want, but we're getting a little anxious, and IVF has better odds than IUI, so I don't think we'll do IUI more than once. It's a TON cheaper, so if it works, we will consider it a HUGE blessing! If not, IVF will be a blessing too, just a more expensive one! IVF is our last option, and I'm kinda nervous about that. In theory, if it's our last option, and it doesn't work (that can happen), then it's our last option! After that we'll consider adoption! I think I'd have to take some time before I consider adoption. Emotionally, I don't know if I could handle it right now! We'll see. We just have to take it all one step at a time. Right now the next step is to measure my follicles, and hopefully they are looking good!

Anyways, it's been a good weekend, and we're looking forward to a great week!

What Seasoning Packet????

So this morning when I put my corned beef in my crock pot, I was disappointed to not find a seasoning packet with my meat! I put it in the pot and went off to work! All day it bugged me that my little corned beef was roasting with NO seasonings! When we got home from work, the house smelled good, and the meat tasted good, but the seasonings were missing! As I cut into the roast CRUNCH! Yup, the seasoning packet was stuck to the bottom of the roast! Seriously! How could I have missed it! I consider to be a fairly sufficient cook, but come on! That's crazy! Anyways, we ate the corned beef and cabbage and enjoyed every bit of it!

Yesterday was a bad day! I had a negative prego test! Dang-it! We thought this would be the month! It was a rough day! I really had my hopes set high! This just gets tougher and tougher! Some days I just want to quit trying all together. Other days I just get super angry at other people who have babies! I don't want to see them or talk about them at all!!! Surely this will get easier!

What a great day!

TJ and I completed our CPR recertification class this morning. It was honestly the best CPR class we've taken! Yeah for JCMH! Our instructor told a story of when she had to do CPR on her husband 30 years ago. He didn't make it, but her story was inspiring. She mentioned she didn't teach CPR classes just for the students to pass the test, but in hopes that if we come in contact with one of her family members that need help, that we'll feel confident in helping them. It really was a great class.

I took a 2 hour nap today. Enough said. :)

We have three outside rooms. Since we moved in they have really just been collecting crap. The first room is TJ's. He uses it for all his hunting stuff. The middle room is our safe room, supposedly for emergency stuff. The third room is where our deep freezer is, combined with all my crafting stuff. Since our house is so small, we try to make these room functional, but they've turned more into storage rooms. Anyways, this afternoon we cleaned them out. I think after getting some drawers and shelving units, I'll be able to make my craft room pretty organized! I cleaned out anything that wasn't related to my crafting, and that's helped so much! I still have to haul all my stuff inside work on my crafts, but now I'll feel more organized!

Our middle room, our safe room, is maily for staying safe during nasty storms! Since storm season has started, I worked on getting that room ready! We have some totes in there of photo books and journals that we don't want to get ruined, but we're also going to start putting our food storage in there. I've started to store water and a few other things, and I'll just keep going from there. I changed all the batteries in our flashlights, made sure my storm radio is working good, and now we're going through our 72 hr. kits to make sure they are up to snuff!!! Hopefully all that will help us feel prepared! "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear!!!"

TJ worked on his hunting room. Who knows what he's got going on in there...I'm always a little worried to look in there!

This spring I'm going to conquer our spiders! I swept up soooo many spider bodies, and I'm going to beat them this year. The bugs out here WILL NOT get the best of me this year!

A pretty productive day off I think!

P.S. I woke up from my nap, and TJ had set up a hunting playhouse in my front room! He claims is a "turkey blind," but I think it's just a camophlaged playhouse! There were turkey feathers and wings, and plastic birds all over. A good lesson to learn, don't fall asleep when TJ's preparing for hunting season. Yikes!

Blog Makeover!!!

Today I've opted to not due my housework or my grocery shopping. I haven't even done my hair yet. It's raining (a good "toad-floater" rain), and I've decided to do nothing I need to do today. I just want to listen to the rain, watch DVR shows, and snuggle under my blanket!

What a perfect opportunity for a BLOG MAKEOVER!!! My whole purpose of creating a blog was to use it as a "journal." Sadly, everytime I found time to update my blog, it was a new season and I spent all my time changing the background. Sad, but true! So, this is my fresh start. I picked a background that I think I can be happy with for a long time, one that's fairly season-neutral. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep up with the postings like I want to.

Right now is a very exciting time for TJ and I. We are still trying to get prego (2 years this month), but we feel closer than ever right now! We really feel like our whole problem is that I haven't ovulated, at all! Last week my great Dr. (Dr. Goff), measured my follicles. One looked to be a super great size, and the lining of my uterus was also a good thickness! Good news! So, that night TJ gave me a shot in the butt and the next morning I OVULATED!!!! I actually ran out of the shower dripping wet to show TJ the little smiley face on my pee stick! It was such a relief!!!! As of today, I'm still ovulating, which I think is weird to ovulate for 5 days, but we'll take it!!!

So, that's where we're at!

This last weekend we went to Dallas for TJ's last ortho course. He got a plaque and everything! We also went to the temple Friday night! I worked on a quilt in the hotel room while TJ was in his class on Friday. On Saturday I ventured out all by myself. It was just me and my garmin. I found a Hobby Lobby within a couple miles and also the Galleria mall. It felt so good to get out and go to a mall where I actually had to park in a parking garage! I didn't realize how out-in-the-boonies I feel living here in Altus. I just soaked it all up. I also got a pedicure while I was in Nordstroms. I've never had such an AMAZING pedi!!! It was wonderful! That night TJ and I went to dinner and just loved being in a big city. I think my most ideal town to live in would be one RIGHT outside of a big city. A town that's quiet, but within a couple minutes I can be in the city!

Well, I'm feeling good about my blog makeover right now. I guess I should work on getting something done today.

A little (big) update...

Well, it's definately time to update my blog. It's only been forever and a day!!! Someday I will post on a regular basis!

The last time I wrote, we had just moved into our little "love cabin!" August was a busy and hairy month for us! I was only working two days a week back then, so I spent most of my days painting the walls and unpacking all our goodies! It felt so good to finally get settled! We had been packing all our stuff since March, so it was good to see it all again! We spent a lot of time trying to keep cool too! We're not used to the extreme heat!!!! Talk about heat, TJ sure felt a little heat in August! He was called to be the second counselor in our bishopric!!!! The whole process was such a spiritual thing! I'll never forget the first thing he said to me, "We need to go to the temple, and I need a new suit that fits!!!!" He is such a good man, and I am one lucky girl to have him for eternity!!! Our life has sure changed since he received the calling! He's much busier, but we feel so blessed! The spirit is so much stronger in our home! Work picked up in September, and I started working more. I still had Mondays off, but worked Tuesday and Thursday afternoons too! We had so much fun in September! College football started, and TJ went nuts! We had a lot of fun though! He's even gotten me to like it! My mom came to visit for two weeks in October! That was a lot of fun! It was fun to take her all over Oklahoma, and show her all of our favorite things!!! I was called to be in the Primary Presidency in October. That has kept me busy, but I like it! I really like the girls I serve with! We are so lucky to have such a great ward! Our office manager quit the end of September, so I started working four full days a week! It's great to be able to help, and the extra money is nice right now, but I'm looking forward to the days when I get to stay home for more important things! November was a tough month for me. We've been trying to get pregnant for almost two years now, and no luck! It's finally starting to wear on me. At first, it was no big deal, then I got sad. I got over that fairly quickly, but last month I just really got frustrated and angry!! I don't understand the Lord's timing or reasonings, and frankly sometimes it hard to want to be faithful and accepting! It's hard to not wonder why some people get pregnant and others don't!!! I worry and stress over what we're doing wrong. It's hard to see our friends get pregnant and be happy for them! We've tried different things with my OB/GYN, but last week we took a huge step and visited with a fertility specialist! He recommended we go straight to IVF. It seemed like we knew we would eventually come to this. However, we can't start any of it until January. So, we have one month! After visiting with my OB/GYN, we decided to try one last round of medications. We're going to try a med we haven't tried yet, and if it suprisingly helps me to ovulate, then my OB/GYN will do artificial insemination, just so we don't take any chances! December is our month! TJ and I both feel so good about this decision! We actually feel more hopeful and excited to try this one last med, than we do IVF! This is the most hopeful we've felt in two years!!! We are going to try every last fertility myth we've heard of this month! He's even putting braces on my teeth!!! (Crazy, but whatever works!) If this doesn't happen, then we will start IVF in January! At this time, we truly have to have faith that the Lord hears our prayers. We have to know that the Lord answers prayers, and we have to accept His timing. I know that things will work out! TJ and I need to focus on enjoying this time we have together, and the good things that we have and that are to come! We're so grateful to have each other, and be where we're at right now! We're excited to go home in a couple weeks and see our families! What a great Christmas season!

Well, I think it's about time for an update!! What a CRAZY few months!

The last time I updated, we had sold our home in Oklahoma City, and decided to move to Altus, OK. We spent the month of May packing and getting ready for graduation. We also picked up the house hunt in Altus! It was quite a frustrating process! The housing market in Altus doesn't make sense! Altus is an air force town and just hasn't experienced the drop in the economy like everywhere else! We looked at houses in the city and in the country. The houses in the country seemed to be VERY run-down and WAY overpriced, and the houses in the city were nice, but even more overpriced!!! Time was running out, and we had consented to live in an apartment for awhile! We went down on Memorial Day Weekend to look at apartments (which were completely run-down), and I happened to find a cute little house that had just gone on the market. We drove out to look at it (it's in the middle of NOWHERE!), and just fell in love with it!!! We call our realator, and wrote up an offer on it that night!!! We didn't even leave Altus until 11 PM! It just seemed like a whirlwind!!! We couldn't believe that after looking for 6 months and not finding ANYTHING, that this just popped up!!! Long story short, the homeowners agreed to let us take posession on June 11, (just 2 weeks after we put in an offer), but we didn't close on it until last Friday, July 17. We were very grateful that all that worked out!!! Now I can start painting and decorating!! YEAH!!!!

TJ graduated on June 6!!! What a neat thing!!! His family came down for the weekend. Even now when I think back on graduation, it just seems sureal!!! I remember his first day of dental school!!! I was still in Pocatello, and he was out here in school, and he called me to tell me all about his anatomy class!! 4 years of school seemed like and eternity!!!! What a neat experience though!! We met some great people that are now some of our closest friends!! We had so much fun going to football games, concerts, and just enjoying our time in Oklahoma City. Some of our favorite memories were when TJ was working on lab work or studying for boards!!! The times that should have been the most stressful, we always found some way to enjoy our time there with friends! I don't think it hit me until after graduation when I was saying goodbye to our friends Nikki and Bryan!!! They are both from Idaho and are moving back home!!! I realized when I was saying goodbye what good friends they are and how greatly we've been blessed over the last 4 years!!! TJ worked soooooooooooooooo hard, and he really succeeded in all his school work!!! I'm so proud of him!!! He's going to make such a super great dentist!!!!!

After graduation, we moved down to Altus. We put quite a bit of stuff in a storage unit, and slowly moved it into our house. We closed on our house in the city the week after graduation!!!! We've just been trying to unpack and get settled into our lives here in Altus. TJ started work on June 22!!!! That night he came home and said the sweetest thing! He said, "I'm glad that now I can take care of you!!!" I'm so glad that he can take care of me now too!!!!! He worked for a week, and then the entire office took a week off for planned vacation time! So, we got to go home for a week!! What a great week!!!! I got to spend the entire time with my family!!! I just couldn't get enough of my super sweet niece, Savannah!!! She is my FAVORITE family member!!!!! TJ was able to help his family move out of their house that they recently sold! Congrats Matt and Brenda!!! I was also able to go to my 10 year High School reunion!!! It was so fun to visit with my friends that I've lost track of over 10 years!!

Since we got home, we've just been trying to get settled in!! I've been working 2 days/week for right now! Once TJ goes out on his own, I'm going to pick it up to 5 days a week while I can! Until we have a baby I want to work as much as I can so we can get ahead!!! We've been trying to help our office get organized! I never imagined being able to use the experience I've gaind in the last 5 years like I have!!! Not just hygiene stuff, but office organization! I guess there really is a reason for everything!!!

We are LOVING our new ward!!! This is our first family ward since we've been married! (We've just been in a University Ward) Yesterday was my first day in Primary!! They asked me to teach the 5 year olds!!! I haven't been in primary since I was primary age!! It was fun though!!! It's amazing what 5 year olds will tell you!!!!

We're just super happy!!! We're feeling sooooooooooooo blessed! Every day we get more settled, and are able to relax just a little bit more! We're grateful for our friends and family and all their support over these last few months!!! We're excited for our future here!!!

This week has been such a fun and exciting week. TJ got his first truck! Yup, now he can haul all sorts of manly things like dirt, wood, and tools! He has truly acted like a little boy with a new toy! It's been soooooooooo fun to watch him!

We also SOLD OUR HOUSE!!! Last Sunday we realized we had our home FSBO for 4 weeks, and we were cutting it close. So, Monday we were suppose to list it with a realtor. Well, TJ suggested we call all our serious lookers ONE MORE TIME, just to let them know we were going to list it. We had had a couple look at it last week, and they were wanting to buy a home for their kids. When we called them, they came over to look one last time, and by 10:30, they had given us an offer! The next morning we accepted their offer, and by Tuesday night they had signed a contract! YEA!!!! Anyways, we really lucked out! The kids are not on a timeline to move in, so they agreed to give us until whenever we need to close. That way we'll be able to have our family out for graduation, and not have to worry about finding a place temporarily before we move to Altus! We didn't realize how emotionally attached we were to our house until we signed the contract. The kids that are moving in are super cute and nice! They are just starting out, and I know they will take such good care of it! Our neighbors will love them, and they will love our neighbors! All is well!

It has been quite a week! Everything seems to be moving so fast around us!!! Now that we don't have to worry about selling the house, we can focus on signing TJ's contract in Altus, and finding a house down there!

Well, it's surely time for a NEW post! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much has been going on these last few months! Once TJ and I got back to Oklahoma from Idaho at Christmas, it seems like we haven't stopped to breath!

The month of January FLEW by! We went to Florida for a long weekend and just had a blast! OU was playing in the National Championships in Miami, so we decided to support our team! It was such a fun trip!

Since TJ bought our home four years ago, we've gradually been remodeling it. Our latest project has been our master bathroom. This was more of a "have-to" than a "want-to." TJ tore out the entire shower, and we replaced it with a jetted tub and tile surround. We worked on this project the entire month of February! We also re-painted our cupboards and de-clutter the entire house. It was a BUSY month!

March was an exciting month! We put our house up for sale! We put it up, "For Sale By Owner." This has been such an experience for both TJ and I. Neither one of us has EVER sold a house, so we've learned sooo much doing this! We've had a ton of serious lookers, and one offer that fell through, but it hasn't sold yet! Monday we're going to list it with a realtor, so, hopefully, we sell it soon!

Since TJ will be graduating here in SEVEN WEEKS, we've had to make a decision that will effect the rest of our life! Where are we going to set up his practice! I don't feel like we're old enough to be making these decisions! There has been soooooooo much to take into consideration, but after much thought and prayer, we've decided to stay here in OKLAHOMA! We've tried so hard to get back home, but there was nothing that seemed to make more sense than to stay here! We visited with quite a few dentists in Southeastern Idaho over Christmas, but none of them would be able to offer us the stability and experience that we would get here in Oklahoma. There are sooooooooooo many reasons to move home, but nothing feels more right than to stay here! TJ was offered an associateship with Dr. Jim Ambrose in MANGUM, OK! Jim and TJ have developed such a great friendship! I tease him that they are BFF's! Jim has such an great family, and we know that we will be taken care of just like a member of their own family! Mangum is in the far Southwestern corner of the state. Jim has two practices, one in MANGUM and one in ALTUS. Each practice is open two days a week right now, so the plan is to keep each practice open four days a week. TJ and Jim will just trade off what days they are in each office. The on-going education experiences are sooooooooooo exciting! Jim wants to make certain that TJ gets to do all sorts of procedures! That's something that we haven't found anywhere else! There's even room for another hygienist, lucky me!! I will be working 3 days a week with TJ! We're excited to get to work with each other!!! I always told TJ I didn't think I would want to do that, but I think 3 days is the perfect balance!! I made sure TJ is well aware of who the real boss is! It will only be until we're able to start our family though...(Which is another story in and of itself! We're having a harder time baby-making than we ever thought!) Anyways, we will probably make ALTUS our home! In fact, that's what we're doing this weekend, house-hunting!

We've just had sooooo much on our plate these last few months! There's been so many decisions, and things to think about! Not only have we made such a major decision, but we've had to do all sorts of things that comes along with that! Insurance-life, health, disability, malpractice (all of which we know NOTHING about!), CONTRACTS, selling a house, and buying a house. I think the biggest of all has been deciding to not move back home! Our family is so important to us, and we're so close to both families. I KNOW we could not have made this decision without our family's support! Granted, we will be able to fly home and visit MUCH more often once TJ starts working! We really appreciate everyones love and prayers!

We really feel soooooooooooooooooooo blessed! We KNOW there is a very important reason why Heavenly Father needs us to be down there! We're excited for this new phase in our life, and such a neat challenge!

Thanksgiving at our house was really nice!!! TJ and I have some friends from Idaho, Bryan and Nikkie Dille, that came over and spent the day with us!! They are the closest people that we have to family out here! We cooked enough food for an army!! That was sooo fun!! I put my turkey in a brine, and it was scrumptious!!! We had such a nice day!! We miss our family though! It's just not the same to have Thanksgiving without our family. In some regards, it has surely made our relationship with each other stronger, but we're anxious to go back home! Thursday night we found out TJ's mom had been taken to the hospital in and ambulance because she had bleeding on her brain. This just made us sick!! We feel so helpless when all we can do is call and talk to them on the phone. Our prayers and thoughts will surely be with them!! We both appreciate and love our families so much!

On Friday, TJ actually woke up and went shopping with me!! I made it easy on him though, I didn't leave until 8 AM, and I only went to Kohl's! What a deal though!! I got $70.00 pillows for $19.99!!! That's all I got, and I had been planning on it for quite awhile now! So, I feel like I got a great deal!! Then we decorated our house for Christmas!! We have so much fun decorating our tree! TJ and I both have ornaments that we've gotten since we were born, so we took our time, and hung each of them on our little tree!!! TJ hung the lights outside, and they look SUPER!!!

Congratulations to Marci and RJ!!! Their twins were born on Tuesday, and they are soooooooooo cute!!! We're excited to go to Tyler Jeppson's blessing tomorrow!!

We've just had such a nice weekend!! It's coming to a close, and I could do it all over again!

So, we've had a little crazy week!! TJ has been off of school all week for Thanksgiving, and he's gotten himself in trouble a few times!! First of all, he drove my car through an alley that he shouldn't have, and dented in my oil pan enough to cause a leak. The next day at work, all my oil ended up in the parking lot!! $900 later, the bug is up and running again!! Then, the SAME day we took the car in to the dealership, TJ forgot about a bottle of sparkling cider he put in the ice bucket to cool off!! Yup, what a project! He's fixed the garbage disposal and had to clean the front room carpet TWICE this week!!! I think he'll be glad to get back to school come Monday!! WOW!

So, last weekend, TJ and I went to Altus and Mangum Oklahoma to look at a dental practice. The dentist and his wife were so nice! They took us to dinner, got us a room at a bed-and-breakfast, and took TJ deer hunting. We had a nice weekend!

Well, it seems I'm just about as good at blogging as I have been at writing in my journal!!! I can't believe a whole month has gone by!!!!!

TJ has been busy working on his senior projects and studying for boards. For about two weeks all we did was write a paper and do a powerpoint on the paper!! We got to be real familiar with the OUHSC student union building!! We're both glad that's over!!! Now he's studying for his board exam, which he will take December 18 and 19th!

Since I last wrote, we've had a mouse in our house!!!! EEWWWWEEEE!!! We were making breakfast one Saturday morning, and a little brown beast ran across the floor! TJ somehow recalls me running to the front room to stand on the coffee table after we saw the monster, but I don't know if it happened quite like that! Anyways, we set out glue-traps and caught TWO terrors!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're pretty sure they are all gone, we've left some traps out, but I'm still a little leary of walking into a dark room!!!!

For Halloween, TJ and I watched GHOSTBUSTERS, and gave candy to the cute trick-or-treaters!! It's fun having a house in the city where we actually get trick-or-treaters!!!!!!! Growing-up, we never got them! Anyways, that's all we did then.

I had an awesome birthday last week!!! I woke up, and had birthday cake in bed!! That was soooo fun!! I opened presents from my family (thanks so much!!) and had a SPA DAY!!! It just so happened that I didn't have to work, so I got my nails done, a pedicure, a massage, and my hair colored!! And, when I got home, TJ had sent me FLOWERS!!! (he is soooooo hunky!!!) I can't think of a better day! That night our stake was having the "Days of Thanksgiving" at the temple, so that's where we spent the night. "Days of Thanksgiving" is something they do out here in Oklahoma. They went so long without a temple, and sacrificed quite a bit to attend, so they spend two days around Thanksgiving time and FILL THE TEMPLE to show there appreciation for having a temple so close!!! Everyone was there!! There was sooooo much work that was done, it was exciting!!! TJ and I used the new Family History Site (www.new.familysearch.org) to do some family names!!! It was our first time taking any family names to the temple, so that was such a neat thing for both of us!!! Jeez, what a SUPER birthday!!!

Not much else has been happening. We're excited for Thanksgiving next week, and the time both of us will have off of school and work! TJ will be studying most of the time for his boards, but I'm going to clean out our third bedroom and organize everything!! It will be nice to have some time to do something besides the normal, everyday things!!!

This morning in our morning meeting at work, our thought for the day was, "better days are coming...they're called SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!"

The "blow-ups" aren't even the worst of it!! They have glow-in-the-dark spider webs in their bushes, and headless monsters next to their front door!!! Whatever happened to hay bales and pumkins!!!

So, it's been quite awhile since I last posted anything! It's funny how fast life goes!! The last weekend in September was our anniversary!!! It was our first anniversary, so that was LOTS of fun! TJ took me to the Melting Pot for dinner, then we spent the night at Bricktown. The next day we went to a movie, then to the OU game. He sent me flowers at work, and made me a pinkie-ring at school out of melted-down dental gold!! It was pretty cool!! He's such a terrific guy, and I am sooooooooooo lucky to have found him!!!

We've both been busy at work and school. The seasons are changing here, and we're really enjoying the cooler weather. TJ enjoys not having to mow the lawn as much!!

Yesterday we went to visit our friends in Enid, OK---Adam and Lara Baker!!! We watched the OU/TEXAS game with them. Since Texas beat OU, it put a damper on our afternoon!! I'll tell you what, if you want to see grown men cry, just put them in front of a game where their favorite team loses!! What a bummer! However, it was sooooo fun to see Adam and Lara in their new home! They are such good friends, and we just love to spend time with them!!!

This week is pretty busy for TJ. He's got a test and a lot of patients to see. I don't have that much to do after work this week, so hopefully I'll get some things done!

My poor car was in an accident the other day!! It's a funny story! We have a car wash that I took my car to where they clean out the inside, and then send the car through the wash while I wait inside the building. After the car is clean and the blowers are done, then the employee jumps in the car to pull it forward. Well, this employee puts my car in reverse instead of DRIVE!! So, there I am, watching as my car backs into another car, and there's nothing I could do about it!!! It was probably pretty comical to watch because I started pounding on the window at the employee and yelling, "My CAR!!!" Anyways, after spending a week in the shop, my car is all better!

Well, I'm home sick today! :( I caught a bug, and it is nasty!!! You know you're sick when you sleep with a box of Kleenex!! Anyways, because I am home in bed today, that gives me plenty of time to catch up!
A couple weeks ago TJ and I went to the OU-Cincinnati game!! It was A LOT of fun!! It didn't rain on us this game, but it was stinking HOT!! I guess that's why they sell frozen lemonade at the games!!! We've got season tickets this year, since it is our last year here, so we'll be going to as many games as we can!!
Last week I spent 5 days in Hilton Head, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. I work for a SUPER generous dentist that really believes in taking a staff trip each year! It's a good excuse for us to get out of the office and do fun things together, and it provides a chance for "team training." (my NSO friends know about that!!! ha, ha!) Anyways, we left last Wednesday and played around until Sunday!! It was a lot of fun, and I'm grateful for such a nice boss!
TJ is working hard at school. He is anticipating having most of his requirements done by December!!! We're still hearing back from dentists, and we're excited for those opportunities!
This next week TJ's sister, Shelly gets released from her mission! She's serving in Richmond, VA. Unfortunately, we're not going to be able to go see her! But, we can't WAIT to talk to her! Next weekend is our anniversary! A whole year has gone by!!! Just CRAZY! That's really all that's going on here!

Ok, so, OU football offically started last night! TJ and I have season tickets, so we went to the game! It was TONS of fun! It was pretty eventful too! I went to take a picture of us there at the game, but when I pulled my camera out, I realized I left the battery on the charger, so that is why I posted a picture of our favorite quarterback, Sam Bradford! At half-time we were already 50-2, so we decided to head home. There was a thunderstorm rolling in also, so we were kinda in a hurry to get to the car before it started to rain. Well, I wanted to stay to see the marching band play during half-time, so we waited until they were through. Well, we got half-way to the car, and the rain started to fall! This wasn't just a few raindrops, we were in a "toad-floater!!!" Not only was the rain DRENCHING, but the lightening and thunder was incredible!!! It was actually just a little bit scary there was soooooooooo much lightening. Once we got to our car, we were completly soaked!! It was a fun end to a fun game!!!

While we were at home this summer, we mailed out 160 resumes to different dental offices in Southeastern Idaho, just hoping to get some response!! TJ will graduate next June, and we plan on returning home! Luckily, we've had two different offices contact TJ with some interest!!! Thank goodness! On the Fourth of July, we spent the weekend in Texas!! These pictures are of the train that we took from Grapevine, TX to the Fort Worth Stockyards! It was pretty fun! The train was an old cotton train. At the Stockyards each night, they have a cattle drive, with Texas Longhorns. We also went shopping at the outlet mall, out to eat, and Cabela's for TJ. It was a great little get-away!

Well, TJ enjoyed his 28th birthday on Wednesday!!! We went to Red Lobster where he consumed the "Ultimate Feast" with king crab legs on the side!!! Then we opened presents and ate cake and ice cream!!! It was a great day!!!

TJ and I had just a SUPER Memorial Day weekend! We went to Fort Cobb, OK. That is where TJ proposed to me one year ago exactly!!! We spent most of the weekend doing one of our favorite things, CRAPPIE FISHING! We caught over 30 fish! TJ did better than I did on Saturday, but I came back and did better than he did yesterday! We tried catfishing, but we're not a catfisherman/woman!
There was LOTS of sun to go around this weekend!! We cooled off by sticking our camp chairs in the lake, and then sitting in them!! I guess that would make them redneck water toys!!!
TJ taught our dog, Rugar to fetch in the water and swim!! That was a lot of fun!!
We also went to Carnegie, OK and saw Indiana Jones! The Liberty Theater is the oldest running theater in Oklahoma! We even had their 'world famous' hot dogs!!
It was a pretty great weekend!!!

TJ has finals this week, so he's busy studying! Thankfully, we only have one year left of school!!!! I don't know who's more excited, TJ or BECCA.
For BECCA, it's just going to be another week at work. After awhile, all the weeks seem to blend together.
The weather is getting soooooooo nice out here! Our flowers are blooming, and our weeds are getting so nice and green!!! Tomorrow is the exact middle of our severe weather season! I think TJ will be glad for that, then my storm radio won't keep going off!
We're looking forward to some good fishing and camping trips! We're looking to get a new tent that will fit our queen size air mattress!! If anyone knows of a good one, let us know!
